Statskaart does not create geographic data. We aggregate it from open, publicly licensed sources. Below is every source we use, what we use it for, and the licence it is published under.

Used for

Road networks, place names, points of interest, administrative boundaries, building footprints, and map tiles.

Used for

Official administrative boundaries (provinces, municipalities, neighbourhoods), address data (BAG), topographic reference layers (BRT/TOP10NL), and cadastral parcel data.

Used for

Population figures, municipality codes (CBS gemeentecode), area statistics, demographic data, regional classifications, and Wijk- en buurtkaart boundary data.

Used for

Postcode (4-digit PC4 and 6-digit PC6) to municipality, province, and street-level mapping.

Used for

Public transport GTFS feeds, administrative registers, regional statistical datasets, and supplementary geographic reference data published by Dutch ministries and agencies.

Used for

Real-time and scheduled public transport data: GTFS timetables, stop locations, route shapes, and operator information for trains, buses, trams, and metros across the Netherlands.

Attribution and licence compliance

Where a data licence requires attribution, we display it on the relevant pages and in this list. If you reuse data found on Statskaart, you must comply with the licence of the original source, not just Statskaart's terms. When in doubt, go to the source directly using the links above.
