The Netherlands, mapped in detail
Statskaart is a free geographic reference for the Netherlands, covering provinces, municipalities, postcodes, terrain, and public transport data - all in one place.
What Statskaart is
Statskaart is an independent, non-commercial project that brings together openly licensed geographic data about the Netherlands. The goal is to make it easy for anyone - whether a resident, researcher, developer, or curious visitor - to explore Dutch geography without navigating dozens of government portals.
Every province has its own dedicated page with administrative boundaries, major settlements, transport connections, postcode areas, and key facts drawn from public datasets. We do not produce or own any of the underlying geographic data. We aggregate, process, and present it.
Where the data comes from
The geographic backbone of Statskaart comes from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors, ODbL). Administrative boundaries and statistical data are sourced from Kadaster/PDOK (© Kadaster, CC BY 4.0), CBS Statistics Netherlands (© CBS, CC BY 4.0), and the Dutch open government data portal data.overheid.nl under the applicable open licences.
